Question : Hi, My daughter got typhoid injected vaccine yesterday.
Today, she is vomitting and has a slight fever.
I understand that they are common and not very severe.
Does she need to be seen by a doctor?
How long will these side effects last?
What can i do to help her speed up recovery?
She is scheduled to depart on her trip Tuesday morning. Will she be okay by then to travel?
I would really appreciate your quick response.
thank you so much in advance!

Brief Answer:
Regular vs Abnormal

Detailed Answer:
It sounds like she is responding to the Thyphoid Virus Vaccine stronger than expected but not to a degree that causes extreme concern. She is getting a fraction of the virus to stimulate her immune system so this never happens again, and thus should obtain a fraction of the symptoms. Nonetheless, I would 100% call the physician who gave her this shot to ensure it is normal based on their standards, and based on their patient population, as these things diverge on a geographic and patient population demographic basis. I wish you and your daughter the best.
