What Causes Vomiting, Diarrhea And Excessive Burping?

Question: I get periods where I voment very bad and diarea. may last three days . Starts with burping and has a fowl smell like sulfur. It comes on every six to eight weeks.
I always blame it on food, but my wife and sister in law eat the same food and they don't get sick. I was concerned that it might be a gaulbladder issue.

Brief Answer:
Gas and indigestion likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The vomiting, diarrhea and burping are suggestive of gas and indigestion. It is mostly related to food only. You need to recognize the foods that cause such symptoms to avoid it. It is not necessary that the same symptoms should appear with everyone. It varies with the inner metabolism and digestive enzymes. Avoid taking alcohol and carbonated drinks.

Dear Dr. Tayal,
I never had anything like this prior to three year ago. I know that I ate a small slice of pizza and 8 to 10 black cherries nothing more. I know when this is going to happen. I start to belch and the smell is not at all pleasant. Within 4 hours I begin to voment and continue to do so for hours. Mostly dry heaves since nothing is left. I then get diarea and continue with vomenting. I am so weakened by this. The belching and the nausea continue for 2 to 3 days. I eat just plain crackers and drink water so as not to aggrivate my condition.
Is there something I can take to eleviate the symptoms? Could something else be wrong? What should I tell my Doctor?

Can be an infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
This can be due to taking specific foods like breads or can be due to an intestinal infection. A stool culture and sensitivity test will help.
