Brief Answer:
yeast, bacteria, normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question,
Yellow discharge most often indicates some form of infection. Bacterial or yeast infections are common and are not sexually transmitted. There are also discharges that can occur from sexually transmitted diseases. Hormonal shifts in young women can also sometimes cause a yellow discharge.
If this discharge is new or if you have other symptoms like itching, burning or pain please see a doctor right away for an exam and testing to determine the cause.
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
