Question : My kids is 3 year old and suffering from fever with stomach pain for last 3 days , we have consultded the doctor on 10.10.17 and given medicine paracip 250 mg 5 ml 4 times, oflaxacin& nitazaxonide 5 ml 3 times..mefkind p 2.5 ml 4 times..delpocalm 2.5 ml 4 times..Even after intake of these medicines fever goes down but slowly increases after 5 to 7 hrs.His food and milk intake has fallen.doc has performed ultrasound for stomach painwith all clear result.Blood test is also clear.fever is upto 3 degree Celsius

I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Fever with pain abdomen in this age can be due to infection(viral or bacterial).
For the initial 3 days fever can be of high degree and then it starts decreasing.
Paracip contains paracetamol(mainly for fever) and mefkind p contains mefenemic acid(both for fever and pain abdomen). For better control of temperature there should be a gap of at least 2 hours between mefenemic acid and paracetamol.
Pain abdomen can be due to spasm of intestine or gastritis. Mefenemic acid and delpocalm help on decreasing the spasm if any. I would like to add lansoprazole an acid reducing agent like Junior lanzol(15 mg). The dose for this age is 1/2 tablet once a day in empty stomach.
Continue antibiotic ofloxacin combination to cover intestinal infection.
Monitor the temperature by making a chart to see the pattern of fever.
If fever pattern remains same even after 24 hours, maximum 48 hours or condition deteriorates further please consult your pediatrician. I would like to get a blood test like complete blood count and CRP done to see the severity of infection if fever remains of high degree even after 48 hours.

I have seen the reports. The reports are within normal limit.
In view of season of dengue infection with high grade fever and pain abdomen I would like to get serology for dengue done.
The total leukocyte count(4600) is towards lower range with normal platelet count. Platelet may remain normal during initial few days.
