Question : A question for immunologist: I was tested for autoantibodies and the test cane back 1:640 nucleolar 1:320 speckled (lab norm: positive= 1:160+). I have no symptoms of any disease, normal capillaroscopy and all other test normal and I feel healthy. My mother died od MCTD complications, her first cousin lives with SLE. I was told by multiple doctors not to worry as this ANA result is familial with no clinical importance. Are they right? I am worried mostly of underlying cancer or is the familial explanation more likely.
