Brief Answer:
Most probably hemorrhoids!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed your symptoms fully and this is suggestive of a possible hemorrhoids. This needs to be confirmed by an examination which can be done by your primary care doctor. In addition to the pain medications and diet modifications to keep the stools soft, sitz baths would be very helpful in this regard especially with the mucus and excessive secretions. This consists in adding 10ml of iodine into a bowl containing 1L of lukewarm water. Sit in this solution for 15minutes at least thrice daily and after every stool.

Let me know how this goes on. I wish you well and a speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
Please, I will rather suggest a colonoscopy!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will rather suggest that you get a colonoscopy. Ct is more expensive and will not be conclusive in my opinion. Furthermore, you are due a colonoscopy for regular screening and this would serve both purposes: Investigate your disease condition and serve as a screening test.

Let me know how this unfolds.
