ON 21 ST MAY I HAD HIV DUO NEGATIVE
ON 25 TH MAY I HAD HIV DNA PCR NOT DETECTED
ON 29 TH MAY I HAD HIV DUO NON REACTIVE
ON 2 XXXXXXX I HAD HIV DUO NON REACTIVE
I UNDER WENT A TEST FOR HSV 1 AND 2 IgG WHICH TURNED TO BE POSITIVE WITH A TITER VALUE OF 28.90,
i CONSULTED A DERMATOLOGIST HE SAID 9 OUT OF 10 WOULD BE POSITIVE FOR HSV , HE SAID NOT to WORRY and no active treatment required .
but as sites say UNTREATED HSV can cause death

Brief Answer:
Post exposure HIV blood reports and HSV seropositivity

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
You had unprotected sex though only oral but you have so far tested negative for HIV I & II.However to confirm negative status ,you have to repeat EIA (Enzyme Immuno Assay) after 12 weeks.
More than 90% of adults have antibodies to HSV-1 by the fifth decade of life.
Antibody prevalence rates correlate with past sexual activity and vary greatly among different population groups. Serosurveys indicate that 15–20% of the U.S. population has antibodies to HSV-2. Hence mere serpositivity does not mean current infection.
Many aspects of mucocutaneous and visceral HSV infections are amenable to antiviral chemotherapy. For mucocutaneous infections, acyclovir and its congeners famciclovir and valacyclovir have been the mainstays of therapy.

HSV infection is curable and an infected person after treatment can have a normal life-span.
Your lymph nodes appear to be reactive only.If the lymph nodes does not resolve on its own by 03 weeks ,you have to undergo either FNAC(fine needle aspiration cytology ) or biopsy.

Brief Answer:
HIV PCR ,Oral transmission of HIV and HSV infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Q 1. No,it is not conclusive.HIV RNA by PCR-Reliable to 40 copies/mL of HIV RNA;it is not detectable below that level.
Q2.Normal life span,as you are positive for IgG indicating past exposure;no current infection where IgM will be positive.
Q3.Antibodies to HIV generally appear in the circulation 3–12 weeks following infection. You need to undergo ELISA after 12 weeks following exposure. Before that antibodies to HIV may not be of sufficient detectable titre.
Q4.Yes,it is possible.Explanation as given in answer to Q3.
Q5 & 6.You don't have any symptoms of HSV meningitis or encephalitis. If You develop any symptoms related to that ,you have to see a doctor.Prevention is is to avoid any fresh exposure. HSV meningitis occurs in 10-15% of men at the time of an initial (primary) episode of genital herpes. You did not have any genital herpes (at least you have not mentioned).
Q 7. Risk of transmitting through oral sex is low as compared to blood contamination,as saliva has enzymes with antiviral properties.
Q 8.MCHC 31.90 indicates have you hypochromia/mild iron deficiency anemia

Brief Answer:
HIV infection ,Lymphadenopathy & tests for early detection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Q1.03 weeks .
Q2.No.
Q.3 HIV RNA by NASBA ( nucleic acid sequence–based amplification}. Reliable to 80 copies/mL of HIV RNA. It produces reliable status information as early as 3 wweks.
Q4. Many factors are involved-difficult to predict. But since multiple HIV test results are negative, chances are exceedingly low to nil.
Q5.Acute HIV Syndrome ( 3–6 weeks after primary infection ) can cause Pharyngitis, Lymphadenopathy. But not all pharyngitis (sorethroat are due to acute HIV syndrome.
Q6. White patches on the tongue may or may not be due to thrush. A clinical examination of the the lesion will be important to confirm the cause. Immunocompromisation in a HIV patient occurs late. Rarely will you find it early in the course of HIV. So I wouldn't be very worried about HIV even this patch is indeed oral thrush.
Q7. Treating dermatologist will be the best person as he has examined you.
Persistent generalized lymphadenopathy can occur as an early clinical manifestation of HIV infection. This condition is defined as the presence of enlarged lymph nodes (>1 cm) in two or more extra inguinal sites for >3 months without an obvious cause.
Q 8. HSV patient can have reactivation. The mechanism of reactivation from latency is unknow-hence unpredictable.
Q 9.Yes,you can have.
Q10. It does not. Even if there is Reactivation,it is treatable.
Q11. Balanced good nutritious diet and regular exercise.
Q12. 22 days for antibody testing (by that time acute HIV syndrome occurs causing lymphadenopathy) ;16 days post-exposure , p24 antigen appears in blood
