What Do Whole Body Tremors And Frequent Yeast Infections Suggest?

default
Posted on Mon, 11 May 2015
Question: I am having whole body tremors that come and go. I also have frequent vaginal yeast infections and toenail fungal infections. I am in constant pain all over, but it is centralized to my knees, ankles, wrists and hands. Should I go and try to see a rheumatologist again? I was diagnosed in 2001 with fibromyalgia by a rheumatologist. Should I see an internal medicine specalist?

Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
Regarding your pain symptoms I believe fibromyalgia to be the likely cause and I recommend you see your rheumatologist again.
As for the tremors one common cause is anxiety which is often coexisting with fibromyalgia.
However before labeling that as the cause I suggest a blood panel including blood count, erythrosedimentation rate, C reactive protein, glucose, liver and kidney function tests, electrolytes, vitamin B12 level and thyroid function to probe for other metabolic or infectious causes.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
