Question: my blood pressure just now was 144 over 65 what should I do

According to the latest recommended guidelines, for the treatment of hypertension worldwide, is that the ideal blood pressure range for an adult less than 60 yrs of age should be under 140/90 mmHg.

So according to that your blood pressure is just slightly increased. And usually, in real world medical practice, we will not consider this BP as even increased because every blood pressure measuring device has an error range of +/- 5 which can also be applicable in your case. Also, this slight variation at times is due to stress or some emotional thoughts.
