Brief Answer:
Possibly alcohol related.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Elevated GGT means liver or bile duct damage.

2. Most commonly secondary to alcohol. Other medications maybe phenytoin or phenobarbital. If you are taking alcohol, it could be the cause.

3. If not above, it might be signifying early obstructive jaundice. Need to wait for symptoms of jaundice or all over body itching.

4. In the elderly, mild elevation is OK. Its almost 2-3 times normal, possibly alcohol. Need to stop alcohol and repeat after 3 months, to look for return to normal levels.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Brief Answer:
Need to stop alcohol completely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

MCHC is mildly reduced. Not to worry at present. Improvement in nutrition, particularly iron and Vit B12 will be helpful.

Monocytes are mildly elevated, not to worry. Not of any significance, without any infection.

Fasting glucose is mildly elevated, indicating impaired glucose levels or pre-diabetes. Need to concentrate on weight reduction, diet and exercises. No medications, necessary for now. If allowed to progress, you can go to diabetes in the next one year, if no lifestyle modification is done.

GGT is due to alcohol. Other medications are not significant to affect these values. In view of pre-diabetes and raised GGT levels, alcohol needs to be stopped completely.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
