default
Posted on Thu, 18 Sep 2014
Question: My mri showed a cloudy spot on my brain. The neurologist said that it was old and not from my recent fall, She is sendingme now to a super expert at Cornel to look at it. Why? Do I have to go after she told me it wasn't anything. Also my beloved Father died of an aneurism in his brain. Can there be a connection? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
There is no connection with your father's aneurysm

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms and MRI brain findings.

I would like to reassure you that this finding is not significant and there is no need to worry about that. The most likely cause could be small ischemia (lack of blood supply to brain) or related to injury. In any case, they are not significant.

Also, there is no connection of this finding with your father's aneurysm.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
