                                            Question : I have found rubber substance in scalp, very hard to wash out and my skin has thick rubbery cover every morning after sleeping. Dermatoligist wont acknowlege the problem and very frustrating as my family and friends can see that my skin has changed. My gastro dr said my colon full but no blockage and im undergoing a flush with no problems. I have cellulitis in leg from a staph infection. Could this have travled through my whole system. Please help me this is affecting my whole life and i need answers. Thank u. XXXXXXX

I feel you are having scleroderma disease that affect connective tissue in the body. Scleroderma can be hard to diagnose and might need skin biopsy. I suggest that you must visit a rheumatologist instead of dermatologist. Scleroderma has no cure. But symptoms and damage can be reduced. I suggest you to use sunscreen, humidifier at home, avoid hot baths or showers and qvoid strong soaps, cleaners, and chemicals.Do remember to exercise regularly.
