Question : Hi, I got off off e Nuba ring in May. My period in May arrived on time but in jun it was supposed to arrive on the 22 but didn't arrive until the 26. My period in July should have arrived on the 28 but it didn't it's already August and I've taken 2 pregnancy test both negative. I have some clear discharge but that's it. No other symptoms. I always use protection so I don't know how it would be possible for me to be pregnant. I have been working Long hours at night on my feet and I have recently started running longer distances. What could be wrong?

Brief Answer:
Work up advised, unlikely pregnancy if negative at 35 days since LMP

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Periods may vary from 21 day to 35 days cycle on avergae normally. With use of hormonal rings and recent change in sleep patterns and work loads etc probability of delaying periods is increased.

Wait for 35 days since Last menses if does not show up get a pregnancy test on morning urine if comes negative then not pregnant. Confirm on day 40 with a songogram if periods still dont show up.

As far as the discharge is concerned that might indicate genital tract infection as long distance and self manipulation like pleasure touch etc may prone to infections more. So get a urine routine exam as well as vaginal swabs for the discharge.

Nutshell, it is not a pregnancy if negative at day 35 and confirmed at day 40 and needs work up to rule out genitourinary tract infections. Coital and toilet hygiene should be taken care of.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
