Question : Diagnosed with mildly enlarged liver and slightly low density. What does this mean?

                                    Brief Answer:
This can be due to fatty liver.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Density is simply a description of how much liver tissue is seen in the ultrasound liver image. If beside the regular liver tissue, there is fatty tissue disseminated, we can see low density liver. If it is also enlarged, fatty liver seems the most probable diagnosis.
I suggest you to check you cholesterol levels, improve diet (no fatty foods, no alcohol) and repeat an ultrasound after 6 months.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

                                    Brief Answer:
This is not a serious liver disease.
Detailed Answer:
This is nothing serious. Not at all. Even if there is some fat in the liver, you have lots of time to reverse it. This is more than reversible. Just take care of what you do eat.
