Question : Yesterday I went to the hospital with moderate - severe pain from my suprapubic region through to my rectum. I had an ultrasound and left after waiting 12 hours for a gynaecology consult because they didn't have a bed for me and sitting in the chair was causing me significant pain. In the ultrasound they told me there was a large amount of free fluid in the pouch of XXXXXXX and several uterine polyps. I am still in a lot of pain, should I go back for attention?
Brief Answer:
yes. needs attention.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query and understood your concern.
Yes. Lot of free fluid in pouch of XXXXXXX suggest pathology in the inner organs. It may be in uterus, ovary or even in intestine. Since you have severe pain with multiple polyps, this needs attention. You can try over the counter pain killer like Ibuprofen; however I am not sure that will be of great help considering the severity of pain.
It would be better to back to the hospital with the report and get some treatment for pain relief.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries. I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
Regards
