Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I carefully reviewed your ECG reports and would explain that it is normal, except for a short PR interval.

It is important correlating this ECG finding with your symptoms.

A short PR interval may occur in cardiac arrhythmia.

Did you experience any palpitations or shortness of breath?

If you have experienced such symptoms and they occur time after time, I would recommend performing further tests:

- a cardiac ultrasound to examine your cardiac structure and function
- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to examine your heart rhythm trends for a prolonged time and exclude possible arrhythmia
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count for anemia, thyroid hormone levels for thyroid dysfunction and blood electrolytes for electrolytes imbalances) to exclude metabolic causes that may trigger cardiac arrhythmia.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Feel free to ask any other questions whenever you need!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Thank you for the additional information.

I agree that anxiety could mimic this clinical situation.

Anyway, if these symptoms repeat again, I would recommend performing the above mentioned tests, just to be sure that everything is OK and exclude other possible causes that may lead to this symptomatology.

If all these tests result normal, you should consider anxiety as the main cause of your problems.

Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties!

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
