Question : Seeking your advice to understand the attached report of endoscopy done for my brother after he had prolonged gastritis issues.

I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

He has three issues -

1. Gastroesophageal reflux disease related complication in the form esophagitis
2. Gastritis

Both these are acidity related issues and he will get benefited with 4-8 weeks of Nexium

3. Hiatal hernia - Part of his stomach is herniated in to the chest cavity. This is a risk factor for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
