Brief Answer:
Your father may need contrast CT scan of abdomen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HealthcareMagic,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Your father findings may indicate hypoechoic(dark)lesion in left lobe of liver and it measures 31 x 25 mm.
It may be due to many causes like adnoma, developing abscess, carcinoma etc.
Since liver is enlarged and coarse echo texture,it is important to investigate further.
It is important to exclude cancer due to his age.
Your father may need contrast CT scan of abdomen.
FNAC is rightly advised. This helps in assessing nature of mass.
Tumour markers may be advised after evaluation.
Treatment depend upon clinical and investigation findings.

Hope I have answered your query.
Further queries are most welcome.
Please rate may answer if you are satisfied.
