What Does Red Discharge From The Anus Indicate?
Question: 5 months a go I had surgery for hemorrhoids. Everything went well and the wound heal. But for the past Month I have notice that if I push my anus out, like a bowel movement, I can see a red thing coming out from inside my anus ( see pic) I thought it was the surgery wound that wasn't healing but after 5 Months I would think it was already good. now I think it could be part of my rectum?. Could this be sore? a wound? or is it part of my rectum showing ? No pain, No bleeding, No discharge And, if this is not a wound or sore can I have anal sex safely?

Dear I don't find any attached picture. No question of Wound and sore after 5 months.But if diseased,Can't Say unless ruling out by Physical Examination.
It could be recurring Intero-External Piles /or a hidden undetected growth/Polyp
Dear,Please give Few Details on Following questions Please-
If no pain,bleeding,no discharge?Why you worry about the swelling coming out of anus?
Is it like bowel movement?
Can you repose it back ?
Does that swelling come back -out of anus,after reposting back in to anus?
Any more information of past history , present history on any accompanied illnesses?

The "swelling" is less than a millimeter in size. pretty small. Only shows up when i push my anus out

Upon Review of the updated picture,Following are the replies to your various sub-queries-

Ans-1-Upon Reviewing the picture,its not the part of the rectum

Ans-2-There appears to be a resolving and still healing ? operative wound,the cause of which needs to be assessed.
This would need evaluation for which I would suggest You to consult with attending Surgeon-and get the Proctoscopy done after local anaesthetic jelly.And get needful instructions from your attending Surgeon.

Ans-3-Its not part of rectum,which is showing.
That part(as explained in Ans-2) is -the still healing wound of the lately operated hemorrhoids and is part of the anal mucosa with accompanied external piles,which seems be present along with the ?interno-external Piles,which were present earlier. The operated hemorrhoid-?interno-external piles,seems to be excised and is represented with the small healing wound-of 5 mm size,approximately.
Though no pain, no bleeding, no discharge is there,the wound would need some more time to heal.
Q-4-if this is not a wound or sore can I have anal sex safely?
Ans-4-In the given scenario,reply to this query is NO.
It would need more care from your attending Surgeon,to correct the causes of its persistence after 5 months.As told this would need evaluation by Proctoscopy and physical P/R(per rectum) examination from Your attending Surgeon.
