What Does "small Bilateral Inguinal Infra-centrimetric Adenopathies " Mean?

Question: Hi, my mother had a stage III colon cancer discovered in XXXXXXX this year. She had radio and chemo therapy before surgery and then 6 more chemo therapy sessions (in total, 6 months of chemo treatment). After the last chemo session, she took an MRI, CT and x-rays to the chest and everything shows clear instead of "small bilateral inguinal infra-centrimetric adenopathies " and "no tumor masses in the pelvis". Her doctor wasn't alarmed.
4 months since then she was advised to follow-up with a contrast MRI to the pelvis; she has sheduled a consult next week, but until then, can you please help with a brief opinion? the MRI reportshows: ascites fluid of maximum 7mm, a small regression in the pre-sacral and para-sagital area vs last MRI (now shows 6mm width) with gadolinophilic progression relatively stationary.
The endometrium has ~6mm with and T2 heterogeneous signals and some areas with intermediated T2 signals, while the myometrium has an homogenous gadolinophilia and it's recommended a gynecologic consult and maybe a curettage biopsy.
gadolinofila contrast plug in the right side adjacent to the greater trochanter need to be corealted with tumoral markers no other adenomegalies were found in the pelvis.
many thanks in advance!

Brief Answer:
The disease appears to be in control

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

It appears from the report that she is doing quite well. There is no evidence of active disease on the MRI. I am not concerned about 7 mm ascitic fluid. The lymph glands, which were quite small last time, are even smaller now. So nothing of concern. Is her CEA normal? I presume so.

Regarding the endometrial changes, I would just observe, unless she is having any vaginal bleed or spotting.

The greater trochanter thing can also be observed.

Hence I fell that she is doing quite well and nothing to worry. I am reasonably sure that your doc will also do the same thing.

Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer further followup queries, if any.
