About high blood glucose levels;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking on HCM!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
To make a diagnosis of Diabetes, 2 fasting glucose levels of over 125 mg/ dl, postprandial over 200 mg/ dl, HbA1c level over 6.4% are needed. So, your HbA1c levels are suggestive for Diabetes.
The first line of treatment for prediabetes or type 2 Diabetes is diet and physical activity.
Especially if you are overweight and postprandial blood glucose is responsible for raising the HbA1c level.
Persisting high HbA1c levels after 3 months of diet and physical activity, may be suggestive for oral antidiabetics.
Even slightly elevated blood sugar for a long time may cause chronic complications of Diabetes (high lipidd, eye, renal complications ect (.
So try to keep the blood glucose within the normal ranges.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta

I like eggs and whet bread. I also have cereals with cold milk , blue berries , black berries.
Restrict the carbs;
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
So there is an impaired postprandial glucose intolerance and of course carbs should be restricted.
So avoid or restrict the bread, cereals and starchy vegetables but a dietitian would be of help in these cases.
The LDL level is a bit high so the egg is not recommended more than twice a weak, adding nuts is a good idea.
Check the HbA1c 3 months after modifying the diet.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
