Brief Answer:
Better to quit smoking.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you are asymptomatic and very active, your spirometry is normal.
But better to quit smoking as soon as possible because this is not a good habit.
It can lead to bronchitis in 80-90 s of agr.
So better to consult quit smoking.
Spirometry is effort dependent test. Patient has to make full efforts to get accurate results.
FEV1 is forced expiratory volume in first second of expiration.
It is the amount of air you expired out in the first second.
FVC is forced vital capacity.
It is the amount of air expired after deep inspiration.
Ratio (FEV1 /FVC) should be more than 80%. Means 80% of expired air should be in the first second.
Hope I have solved your query.

Brief Answer:
%predicted is important.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Important parameter is %predicted.
It is ratio of performed values and predicted values.
Predicted values are machine feed. It depends on your height, weight, smoking index, race etc.
So when we enter all these parameters in spirometry machine, it will automatically calculate your predicted values.
And when you perform test, machine will tell your performed values.
And ratio of both these is %predicted.
And this is most important in interpretation of spirometry.
Your all %predicted values are normal. So no need to worry for any lung disease.
But better to quit smoking as soon as possible for your future good health.

Brief Answer:
It is not low.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I don't know why nurse was telling like this.
Your FEV1 %predicted is 94%.
This is normal. This is not low or failed.
So no need to worry for this.
Better to consult pulmonologist and discuss this report.
Hope I have solved your query.
