What Does The Presence Of Cyst In An Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Another medicine prescribed by the doctor is Erosa
most probably benign, fibrocystic disease.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted the findings of high resolution ultrasonography of both the breasts and the axillae.
Cyst size id 5.8X4 mm, small in size.
This means your wife is most probably having a fibrocystic disease, totally benign disease which is not transformed into cancer.
Hence the first thing to remember is that there is nothing to worry about.
May I please know the reasons of getting ultrasonography done?
What are the symptoms does she have?
Also noted that she has been prescribed NovexDS and Erosa and history of allergy to Ofloxacin and Nimesulide.
I hope this answer helps you both to understand the usual nature of the disease.
If the anxiety level is too much you can go for either FNAC or excision biopsy.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

She had pain on the sides and under the breast, that is why we went to the doctor. She prescribed Ultrasonography to be conducted. The pain had started about a month or month a half ago. Another element we were trying to correlate is activities at the gym. The pain has reduced marginally.
When I looked up NOVEX on the net, I found that it is a Contraceptive. She is not taking it at the moment. Is it the medicine for treatment of this condition
Fibroadenosis / muscular
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
The pain on the sides and under the breast:
- If it is in the breast tissue, it is due to fibrocystic disease/fibroadenosis, the cyst is a manifestation of the same.
- If the pain is in the chest wall, which increases on movement of the arms or on deep respiration, it can be muscular and may be related to gym activities.
Novex is non-hormonal contraceptive as you have rightly noticed.
If she is not taking at the moment, it is fine as it may not help for the conditions she is suffering from. This is given by some Doctors on the empirical basis and it not known to definitively help.
I hope this clears your doubts. Please feel to ask relevant further queries.
Have a great day!

It seems to be a breast issue and not muscular.
Since she has decided not to take Novex and is just taking Erose ( Primrose oil) prescribed for 15 days, would she need to any other medication. If so kindly advise.
Erose helps.
Detailed Answer:
Erose may help in such conditions.
Actually there is no sure-shot treatment of such a problem.
Hence many things are tried and some may help a particular person.
