Brief Answer: Some of the drugs have protecting effect on organs Detailed Answer: Dear sir Welcome to healthcare magic When I analysed your fasting and post prandial blood sugars, you have predominantly fasting glucose impairment. According to American Diabetes Association (ADA) Fasting blood sugars above 126 mg/dl is labelled as XXXXXXX diabetes. So you are in the stage of glucose intolerance not diabetes. Secondly for glucose impaired patients, we recommend life style modification and dietary restrictions. Physical activity for atleast 150 min/min. Pranayama for 20 min will not help because it wont count for physical activity. Physical activity includes exercises like walking. Make sure your exercises should not any exertion. Some of the drugs like metformin and statins will have beneficial effects on most of the organs like heart and blood vessels, but when it outreaches the prescribed maximum dosages it is harmful. Check your sugars at frequent intervals, monitor HbA1c. Hope this answer is helfpul Thanks

Brief Answer: Insulin sensitizers such as metformin Detailed Answer: Dear sir As per the American diabetes association, If you are not getting adequate control with life style modification and diet. normally guidelines indicate to start metformin, 500 mg once a day. which is a insulin sensitizers and acts by reducing hepatic glucose output. Secondly there are certain conditions in which metformin needs to be adviced like hepatic disease. So you need to watch out for indivisual contraindication of the drugs. But generally metformin has good tolerance rate and has beneficial effects on heart and blood vessels. Please consult your doctor and get an opinion before starting metformin Thanks
