Brief Answer:
ANA positive can be false positive.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your lab reports. ANA positivity is not specific for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and lupus has been excluded by negative anti-ds-DNA.

ANA can be positive in wide variety of inflammatory and auto-immune conditions, and sometimes, without any disease also.

I would like to know your symptoms, findings on neurological examination, and a copy of your MRI report, so that I can give you further advice.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
Noted your symptoms and MRI reports

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back with your symptom list and MRI report.

Based on that, I feel migraine is the most likely possibility.

In addition, we need to exclude a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (very less likely though). This can be done by doing MRI of spine and visual evoked potential studies. If they also show features suggestive of MS, then, a lumbar puncture may also be done.

As of now, you can be treated for migraine.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
