What Does This FSH Level During Menopause Indicate?

Question: I am 56 and had a test which showed my FSH level at 52.5....does that mean pregnancy is pretty well impossible. I came off the birth control in Sept after 20 years and hit the wall with hot flashes etc...but my husband & we are using condoms not because we want to, but because we are nervous. Should I be with a level like this? My naturapath says virtually imppossible need a second opinion.

In my opinion, the FSH level during or after menopause is 25 to 134 mIU/ml. So 56 is normal for your age.

Mostly by this age the ovulation might not occur leading to increased FSH levels at this age.

Hot flushes are due to hormonal imbalance due to onset of Menopause.

Menopause usually occurs at 47 to 50 years of age.

So, natural pregnancy might be very rare at this age.

I would like to see your full blood work out if possible.
