Brief Answer:
Could be age related

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.

The usual causes at this age for breathlessness on exertion are due to either reduced lung capacity or reduced cardiac functions.

As per your attached reports, your cardiac functions are good, so your symptoms are not due to heart diseases.

However, i would recommend you to get your Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), if not done yet.

Your doctor has prescribed you inhaler, that means, he must have found as positive finding in your chest.

This could reflect the possibility of bronchial asthma or bronchitis.

If all are normal, then there is nothing to worry, as with advancing age slight breathlessness is normal.
So, my recommendations would be to get your PFT done and write back to me with the report.

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

PFT. Is that the test that is done to determine COPD? If so yes I have copd. Would that cause the light headedness also?

Brief Answer:
Yes, its that test only

Detailed Answer:
Hi, If you have COPD, then your breathlessness can be attributed to that only.

I would recommend in such case scenario's an inhaler containing Formetrol and Budenoside once daily. That would help you a lot with your COPD and breathlessness problem.

Light headedness can be due to blood pressure issues or as a side effect of any drug you are taking or could be a result of stress or reduced sleep.

Good Luck.
