Hi..

I had my 1st USG tdy at 5 weeks gestation. .and they found 2 sacs ..1 measured 6.5mm and other 4.5mm . But yolk sac was not yet seen. Is that normal? How many weeks into pregnancy will yolk sac be seen?I was worried since it was already past 5 weeks and nothing was seen. However my doc said we ll again do a scan next week . Not to worry much now.

Hello

Congratulations on seeing gestational sac.

It is very early to see many details on ultrasound at 5 weeks.

Yolk sac will be seen in next 2 days. But clear picture will emerge only on next week sac.

Yolk sac with possibly heart beat can be visualised by next week.

Don't worry about it.
