Question : My 10 year old son has a whitish, cottony substance clinging to his poop. He has been complaining of stomach aches and has had diarrhea for several days. Today his BM was formed. The white stuff isn't worms. What could it be?

Hi....it could be bacillary or bacterial infection or dysentery.

I suggest you get a stool routine test done.

Meanwhile after consulting with your pediatrician you can start antibiotic and zinc supplements.
