I read your question and I understand your concern. This is a combination of regular short acting insulin and long acting basal insulin . Regular is 70 % and basal is 30 %. This is not an ideal combination and should be avoided. Regular should be taken alone before meals and basal before bed time. However due to many limitations like needle phobia or compliance issues , these need to be done like an necessary evil in situations specially In countries with less resources like subcontinent etc.
