Brief Answer:
Possibility of endometriosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for posting your query.

Heterogeneous myometrial echotexture on ultrasound is a non-specific finding but can be associated with adenomyosis of the uterus or fibroids.

If you were told that endometrial cells were found on the surface of the uterus, it mostly means that you could be suffering from adenomyosis. This is a condition where endometrial cells invade the muscle layer or myometrium of the uterus. Clinical correlation is needed to establish a diagnosis in addition to investigations like sonogram, MRI and endometrial biopsy.

This condition is usually asymptomatic in mild cases and responds well to treatment. Even if severe, symptoms can mostly be kept at bay with appropriate management, so there is not much reason to worry.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
