Below are tips to loose weight in a healthy way.

• Take the food you intend to eat at one time only. Going for additional helpings of food, leads to miscalculation and we tend to eat extra.

• Avoid the carbohydrate XXXXXXX foods like potato, yam and too much rice. Rice can be taken for lunch but for dinner whole wheat preparations are good.

• Include foods like wheat XXXXXXX high fiber breakfast cereals, specially-formulated high-fiber breads and whole wheat pasta, these are very high in insoluble fiber. They add bulk to the diet and we do not feel hungry soon. On the other hand, foods that are refined like, refined wheat flour, juices etc. get digested easily and we develop cravings for high calorie foods, like sweets, candies, chocolates faster.

• Cut down on dietary fats, especially saturated fats like ghee, cream, butter and
coconut oil. Instead include unsaturated fat sources like oil of groundnut, rice XXXXXXX corn, canola, olive etc. But at the same time limit the intake of oils and fats to as less as possible. Low fat butter may be taken once a week.

• Begin the lunch and dinner with clear soups, skimmed buttermilk, green salads or XXXXXXX warm water. This helps in suppressing hunger you end would end up eating less.
