Question : Hie I have been instructed by one of the gynac's of my spouse to take Zocon T Kit which contains three tablets where one is of pink color Fluconazole 150 mg and two blue long tabs each of tinidazole 1000 mg. She have not shared the dose for the same and presently she is out of town. I'm a patient of acute gastro and recently went through removal of multiple polys through surgery. Hence can any one help me if I should proceed with this medication or not and if yes then what dose would be beneficial and harmless

                                    Brief Answer:
one tablet orally each day.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will try to explain what the doctor meant. I gone through the report. Since it has total of three tablets (two generics) it is only one cycle. It is typically instructed to take one tablet orally each day. Suppose you start with pink one Flucan today, take one Tab. Tinidazole tomorrow and one day after. That suffices.
Do not forget to complete the three days course.
I also add a proton pump inhibitor or Ranitidine to my patients before breakfast one dose before above medicine is taken during afternoon meal.
These are given for vaginal infections both for partners. That is right protocol and can be taken.

So I hope it will not affect my bowel or any issues for my past surgery since you have asked for Ranitidine so will Rantac 150 mg two tabs suffice the same or you prescribe with any other supplementary method for the same

                                    Brief Answer:
Rantac for those three days
Detailed Answer:
No other medicine is needed.
Rantac can be taken only those three days of medicine. However if you are already taking pantaprazole/omeprazole or other proton pump you do not need to take Rantac separately.
Remember to take these medicine with food and not on empty stomach..
All the best.
