Question : About a month ago, I took my blood pressure at Walmart. It read 121/73. Is this in the normal range? Thanks.
The ideal blood pressure is below 120/80.
However the normal range is:
The top number (systolic blood pressure) should be between 90-140,
The bottom number (dyastolic blood pressure) should be between 60-90.
So your blood pressure is great!
You should continue a healthy diet, low in salt. Continue checking regularly your blood pressure, and if you see there is an upward trend, then you should consult with a physician. Elevated blood pressure will increase your risk of cardiac problems such as heart attacks, and stroke.
Hopefully that answered your question.
