I WANT TO TAKE IT BY MOUTH...
Brief Answer:
DMSO is for topical application, not for internal consumption.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
DMSO is drug meant for topical application as far as Herpes management is concerned and not for oral intake.
DMSO herpes treatment begins by topically applying the drug to any outbreak for three days following the initial outbreak. The second part of the treatment program is maintenance. This involves applying DMSO to the areas for three days every month even if there is no outbreak, and to continue maintenance for five months.
Before applying DMSO, place a small amount on the skin to test for allergic reaction.
But it is not yet approved by FDA, for the use of Herpes management.
