Question : What are the actual stroke probability with the use of long term use of Lupron ?
Brief Answer:
Stroke is rare with lupron (leuprolide)
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
I have noted your medical details.
Lupron does increase the risk of brain stroke, however, it is a rare side effect seen with this treatment. Exact incidence is not known, because of its rarity.
The risk is more in a person with diabetes, high BP, cholesterol or those who smoke.
Treatment of stroke is similar in patients on or not on lupron.
I hope it helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries.
Best wishes,
