The injection is prescribed in the following situations:

1. When deficiency of progesterone is present during pregnancy, to sustain the hormone levels until the placenta takes the function over by 14 weeks.

2. During a pregnancy induced with treatment as in induction

3. As part of IVF procedure

Please specify the preparation from Jagsonpal pharmaceuticals that has been prescribed.

I presume you meant ecosprin by vcosprin. This is prescribed to improve blood supply to the uterus and later on in the uteroplacental bed. This is for the fetal well being.
