What Tests Are To Be Conducted Before Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Question: Hello, I am considering bio-identical hormone replacement theory, would you suggest any tests for me to conduct prior to my analysis. i.e. blood work, testosterone or other endocrine related tests?
Brief Answer:
Please indicate the purpose of seeking bio-identical HRT
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
I would definitely try to help you but before that I would need details like why you think you need hormone replacement therapy and the purpose that needs to be achieved. Please mention your complaints. Based on that I will guide you with the blood work and assays required.
I will wait for your response.

I have heard that a few people my age (37) have taken it and they explain that they have increased energy, happiness and overall feeling of health. I don't have any specific ailments but am looking for a way to improve my overall health. I also feel that my testosterone might dropping but there are no real signs.. just fatigue, putting on less muscle at the gym... etc. However I should probably get tested.
Brief Answer:
Get your hormone levels checked.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for clarifying.
I would not suggest going for the so-called bio-identical hormone replacement therapy unless there is any proven deficiency. If there is no deficiency, it is no use trying to fill a non-existent gap. You can get your testosterone, FSH and LH levels checked. But in absence of any symptoms I doubt the significance of such a therapy.
