Hi,XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query.

Normally measles vaccination is advisable at age of 9 months. Means after completion of 9 months.

Regarding solid foods,

You can have got various options. First start with semi solid foods like meshed potatoes, rice, dal, roti, vegetables etc. in meshed form or inform of juices or soups.

Then as it is accepted you built the volume and change consistency. By about 1 year when at least 5-6 teeth have come, routine house hold diet can be given in solid form.

Start with fruits like XXXXXXX banana etc.

Home based diet is best for your baby; please avoid any market based so called fortified foods making tall claims.

Please have a good discipline from starting. Do not feed the baby roaming around house. Make him seat and feed him. You can develop the habit of seating with other at the time of lunch or dinner; this will help a lot in future. Today the control is in your hand, as they grow, they will have their choices. Please impart good diet habits from beginning.

Continue mother’s milk at least till 1 year.

I hope this helps.

Please write again if you have something more to ask.

In case you do not have further query, please accept the answer.

Wishing him best of health.
