Some drugs have dysgusia pr altered taste as side effect. Ensuring good intake of water will reduce it.

Some class of drugs alter the consistency and viscosity of saliva, some of the drugs are also secreted in saliva producing metallic or altered taste also known as dysgusia. It depends on type of medication being taken and presence of any co-existing illness.
