Question : Sir/madam, we are trying to get kid through iui procedure. Doctor given letrozole, letrozole 2.5mg tablet to take at night from 2nd day to 7day. The doubt is my mother in low is suffering from breast cancer she also advised similar tablet is, letrozole letroz2.5mg. is there both are same whether it is for fertility or cancer? Please clear our doubt..

I understand your concern.
It is used in breast cancer to reduce oestrogen hormones as her breast cancer must be oestrogen sensitive.The same drug is used for stimulating ovulation in your ovary. so you need not worry. It is recommended by all doctors for ovarian stimulation. Hope my answer helps you.
