Question : Why did my doctor prescribed progesterone tab and HCG hormonal injection in W6 to my wife. Is it really necessary considering the fact that she had 1 2 drops of spotting ??
Also it was our first visit and she recommend blood test.
So, is it safe to take hormonal pills or injection before blood tests ?

2 ) As you must be aware that no amount of bleeding is expected during normal pregnancy. As she was having some spotting or minimal bleeding, medically prudent doctor thinks of threatened abortion.

3 ) To support ongoing pregnancy , progesterone and HCG injection are usually prescribed by the doctor.
Both these medicines help support growth of the pregnancy.

4 ) Please keep full trust in your treating doctor. Blood investigations and USG can be done Ro assess her general condition and viability of the pregnancy.

5 ) Both of these medicines are safe and helpful for pregnancy.
