Brief Answer: Follows. Detailed Answer: Dear Madam, Thank you for posting your query on HCM. Well there can be a lot of causes of foamy urine but most significantly it indicates protein in urine . The excess protein in the urine often causes the urine to become foamy , since you are suffering from hypertension it needs to be seen whether kidney involvement is happening .If urine is normally clear and light-colored, foamy urine may not be associated with medical condition. Lack of adequate hydration , infection in urine may also give rise to foamy urine . I will advise you to get a urine r/m , urine c/s done to look for this . Urine for 24 hour proteins can subsequently be done if the above tests come abnormal . Take care. Dr. Shruti
