What Causes Nausea And Vomiting Post Intake Of Miralax?

Question: He hello I was prepping for a colonoscopy with the MiraLAX solution and Gatorade and became very
nauseous and stopped I had taken about almost 4 cups of the solution I have thrown up about half of that .

I'm still nauseous and I wonder what I might do. can't keep anything down I wondered what I should do what I could take thank you

Hi and thank you fro asking on HCM!
You are reporting to have nausea after using Miralax and getoard.
Nausea is the main side effect of Miralax.
If I were your treating doctor I would suggest:
1. Stop miralax use and start to use oral sodium phosphate. it has less side effects than Miralax.
2. Start to use anti emetic drugs like reglan or metochlopramide.
3. Take plenty of water
4. Try to take sodium phosphate slowly and with water.
