Hi madam and welcome.

Thank you for your query.

The difference is significant.
First, endometriosis is not malignant disease, it is not life threatening and it doesn't need to be aggressively treated as endometrial cancer.

Endometriosis is common condition where endometrium is found outside the uterus; on ovaries, colon, fallopian tubes or all around the abdominal cavity. Endometriosis doesn't have characteristic of cancer as it cant grow so fast and cant infiltrate surrounding tissue. It is found in reproductive years and can cause pain in pelvis, painful periods and painful sexual intercourse. it is treated by hormonal therapy, painkillers and sometimes by surgical procedure.

Most cases of endometrial cancer occur between the ages of 60 and 70 years and it is very serious disease, but curable when found in early stage and usually prognosis is good. Symptoms are the same as in endometriosis such as vaginal bleeding and pain in pelvis. Diagnosis must be confirmed by biopsy or curettage. It is treated by hysterectomy and/or adjuvant chemo or radiotherapy depending on size of tumor.

Hope I have answered your question. Wish you good health.
