10 Weeks Old Baby Has Had A Stopped Up Nose, Coughing, Sneezing, What Should I Do ?

My 10 week old daughter who was 8 weeks early has had a stopped up nose, coughing, sneezing and now she s hoarse. I have been using the cool mist humidifier, saline drops and the bulb. The bulb never draws out snot, but she is still so stopped up. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. We have been to the doctor several times about this. They have done and RSV test as well as a swab to test for bacterial infections, both were negative. Please let me know what I can do about this and how I can ease this for her and also when will this go away?

Hi,
your daughter is likely to have allergic rhinitis,causing chocking of nose,sneezing,coughing,
As all tests are normal you may give her anti histaminic,decongestant drops orally,
I think one course of mild antibiotic will help a lot.
you can put pediatric nasal drops.

HELLO,
YOUR DAUGHTER MAY BE SUFFERING FROM A UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTION.
SHE SHOULD TAKE ANTIBIOTIC, ANTIHISTAMINICS, PEDIATRIC NASAL DROP, &HOT SALINE GARGLE.
GET AN X-RAY OF HER LATERAL SKULL TO RULE OUT ADENOID.

1. If medical therapy fails to open up her nose, get her nose examined by an ENT Specialist to rule out any physical obstruction in her nose such as DNS (Deviated Nasal Septum) or Unilateral Choanal Atresia.

2. Get an x-ray skull lateral view to rule out enlarged adenoids blocking the nasopharynx.

3. Her hoarseness is due to mouth breathing and post nasal drip secondary to nasal obstruction.
