12 Year Old, Loose Motion, Congested Throat. Mother Having Gastric Problems. Anything To Worry?

My 12 year old had loose stool a few days ago. (I thought it was because his ice pack in his lunchbox leaked so when he seemed fine the next day, i just let it go.) Then there was a day where he then complained throat felt weird and then that went away too. Now he is very congested. Is this just a cold or should I be more concerned? I have all sorts of gastric issues (even had h polyeri before) so I am nervous.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
Congestion may be due to throat infection.
For cold you can give an oral antihistamine like cetrizine in prescribed dose.
If there is fever give Tylenol.
Get him examined to look throat and his lungs for the presence of infection.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
