13 Year Old Having Headaches, Nausea And Dizziness. Should I Consult A Neurologist? Advised For Blood Tests
From Monday 05/14/12, My 13 year old daughters has been having bad headaches, nausea, dizziness and often phases out (not pay attention). No diarrhea , fever, vomiting or other symptoms. Her Pediatrician didnt know what the cause was and when I asked her to have a UA and Labs done, she stated NO sence because I wouldnt know what to look for ?! I didnt feel comfortable with that answer! What do you think this could be?? Should I take her to a specialist.. neurologist maybe??
If the symptoms have been present for more than 3-6 months without any neurological deficit, it could well be migraine.
But if this is acute phenomenon and has following symptoms, please get her checked by your local child neurologist. 1. Night time headache 2. worse on bending or lying down 3. forceful vomiting 4. vision problem 5. Seizure or any facial twitching.
