14 Year Old Recovered From Dislocated And Broken Wrist. Limited Movement Of The Wrist. Are The Bones Healed In The Wrong Way?
Hello, I am 14 and I broke + dislocated my wrist. It was in a cast for 7 weeks with pins in for about 4 weeks. My hand just came out two days ago and I have been moving it about to regain my strength and etc. but there is one problem-no matter how hard I try I cannot move my wrist upwards above 50 degrees. Please help-I'm worried there are still some broken bones or they have healed in the wrong place! Please help I'm very worried. :'( turns out this cost money, sorry and goodbye
Hi and welcome to HCM. Thank you for your query. It is hard to say is there wrong healing without xray examination. It can be cause of your symptoms but in most cases limitation in movement is caused by immobilisation and joint contracture. during the immobilisation you had to do certain exercises to prevent such disability. Thi sisnt too late now too,you just need to find specialist who will show you streching exercises. Wish you good health.
