2 Year Old Baby, Cold, Cough. Taking Moculytic Medicine, Decongestant. Suggestions?

Hi, I am a mother of 2 years baby girl, I am just wondering why is she keep on having cold and cough, this month she had cold and cough twice- first week and this week of the month, I am really worried of her health condition, she seems to be good, because she eats good and still very active, and she is also taking her multivitamins everyday, but still she gets sick? the last time I give her antibiotic for her cough with phlegm as per her pedia advice, but this time, I dont want her to take antibiotic again so I give her a moculytic medicine and a decongestant for her cough en colds. I there any way I can get my baby out of these viruses and leave her Healthy all the time? your utmost reponse is Higly appreciated, thanks much...

Welcome to HCM
Greetings of the the day
Its quite common for children of this age group to have repeated Upper respiratory infection, so there is no reason for major concern. As you are already aware that its due to viral infection, hence antibiotics have no role in management of simple upper respiratory infection(antibiotics only act on bacteria). So Continue giving what you are giving. give baby saline nebulization, warm fluids like hot tomato/chicken soup. She willl get well soon.
Take care
